To claim benefits on certain things, many people use celebrities' names for their benefits. Well, similarly, Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez's pictures were reportedly used for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee (MGNREGA) job scheme in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. As per the latest reports in Times Now, Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez's pictures have appeared on the 'fake' job cards in order to claim benefits. That's not it, apart from using their pictures, even wages are released on these fake job cards while the villagers are unaware of the amount released in their names as they never went to work.
It is also stated that Deepika Padukone's name was used in the name of Monu Shivshankar while another man who is Sonu Shantilal used the picture of Jacqueline Fernandez on the job cards. The reports further stated that the residents alleged that the panchayat secretary and employment assistant were involved in these fraudsters and the incident was then reported from Piperkhed Naka village under Ziranya panchayat.
Apart from this, Deepika Padukone hit the headlines a few weeks ago as she was summoned and was interrogated by NCB after her name surfaced in the alleged drug chats.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be next seen in the biographical film, ’83 alongside her husband Ranveer Singh. She will also be seen in Shakun Batra’s next also starring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and an untitled film with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.
